Family Support Worker

Hours per week: 37
Contract type: Permanent

In this role, you’ll work directly with families, offering support, guidance and practical interventions to help keep children safe and promote their wellbeing. You’ll be part of a wider multi-agency network, working closely with colleagues from social care, education, health and other partner organisations to deliver joined-up support.

You’ll be involved in assessing needs alongside families, contributing to plans that are clear, realistic and focused on positive outcomes for children. Your work will include supporting families where there are child protection concerns, always keeping the child’s safety and welfare at the centre of everything you do. You’ll manage your own workload, use your initiative, and contribute to decision-making with guidance from more senior colleagues when required.
