Night Registered Veterinary Nurse

Accommodation is provided for the duration of your working night block, offering added convenience during your scheduled shifts.

Why this role?

If you enjoy autonomy, true emergency exposure and being part of a structured, professional night service, this is a role where you can genuinely develop your confidence in out-of-hours and critical care nursing.

Village Vet St Albans is a well-established small animal hospital and a 24-hour emergency clinic supporting multiple practices across Hertfordshire. You will see a varied and stimulating caseload, not just routine overnight monitoring.

The hospital is fully equipped with:

  • Full diagnostic facilities
  • On-site laboratory
  • Separate cat and dog wards
  • Theatre suite
  • 24-hour inpatient care providing continuity of treatment

For those working nights, shared accommodation is available during your working block, offering practical support and added convenience.

The rota

4 nights on, 8 nights off on a rolling rota.

This structure provides extended time off between blocks while maintaining exposure to emergency and urgent care cases.

Annualised hours: 33.9 hours per week equivalent.

Your role

This is a hands-on Night RVN position within the Vet-24 night team.

You will:
